The underestimation of our power and potential is part of a colonial legacy that is rooted in our loss of African languages and then not being taught European languages but of our having to ape what we heard, silently respond and ultimately being denied acceptance into those forced cultures. Our job to reverse that mental enslavement is a work in progress against massive forces, but visible advances are remarkably present.
Afra and Dennise symbolise this progress and many others understand the labour of love required for its ultimate success. Indeed, Now Is the Time.
