We are taxed at every point of income, banking, insurance and expenditure then we are denied accountability to the uses of these monies. The Public Accounts Committee, the annual report of the Auditor General and the Joint Select Committees conjoin with internal and external corporate audit reports and other fiscal statements to let us know that corruption is a many splendored thing for the rich. The laws are made by them for them and this is amply exemplified in the 2010 documentary called Inside Job. These and other oppressive realities remain as the bane of the masses.
