   I wished you had stated clearly that this was not a Ponzi scheme when the opportunity arose. That claim by Watson led directly to many policyholders accepting the government’s haircut. At the same time, as you know, they absolutely refused to disclose the real financial situation. It was, as stated, a mismatch of financing ytpe with investment type.

   That Ponzi claim was a critical part of the callous deception designed to deprive policyholders of billions of dollars of their entitlement. Had such a deception been done by Duprey or any private business person we would be up in arms. It is precisely the sort of thing that government and regulators are there to protect us from. Instead, they are the ones doing it to the public with no recourse for the disaffected.
